Applicants must be high school seniors planning a career in agriculture, horticulture, environmental science, conservation, etc. Applications are available to eligible students through their participating high schools.
Master Gardener Scholarships
Applicants must have completed the MSU Extension Foundations of Gardening course and have been accepted into the MSUE Master Gardener Volunteer Orientation program.
The MSUE Master Gardener Foundations of Gardening (FOG) is a 10-week online course for those wishing to apply to the MSU Extension Master Gardener Program and/or those seeking horticultural training for personal reasons. The winter 2026 course will run February 12 thru April 17, 2026, as weekly webinars on Thursday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The Garden Center’s Master Gardener Scholarship program is available under the MSUE requirements. Please click here for our Garden Center Scholarship Guidelines.
