
Join speaker Christina Funk to learn more about these fascinating, misunderstood, and beneficial garden friends, the bats. Learn about the different species that are native to Michigan, their habitats, food sources, roosting areas, and more.

Christina Funk is currently the Lead Naturalist at the Stage Nature Center, which is operated by the Troy Nature Society, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. Previously, Christina was an Education Specialist at Bat Conservation International and also held positions at Cranbrook Institute of Science, Arkansas State Parks, Five Rivers MetroParks, Project Dragonfly, Miami University, Deering Estate at Cutler. Christina received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Florida International University and a Master of Environmental Science (M.Env) from Miami University.
